Electrolytes
Put up a fight
I punch you hard
With all my might
Rejuvenate
Illuminate
Course through my veins
Burn excess weight
We battle long
Our battle's strong
I punch your face
Like Donkey Kong
Until you stall
Until I fall
Help pick me up
Rematch our brawl.

2011 - Day 218
The cave, a mile underground,
With silence brings
An awful sound,
Far away, the Sun doth set,
A scene these rocks
Will never get,
The rushing water passes through,
In ancient tunnels
Black and blue,
These are depths eyes never see,
And hidden there
May lie the Key.

2011 - Day 217
I waddled to a willowwacks
Heard brumbles of brontide,
I fumbled with my finnimbrun
Hornswoggled six rawhide.
Quickly then I galloped home
I shut my doors and was alone,
Did wait until the thunder passed
Then scuttled back yonder twice as fast.

2011 - Day 216
You keep doin' you,
And I'll keep bein' me,
A rolling meadow metaphor
With deserts in the sea.
Life is never perfect
But sometimes it sure feels close,
The twisted words of poetry
Can fill us up the most.
I lay the towel
Upon the sand
I feel around
And grab your hand
We settle in
One with the land
We watch the waves
Life sure is grand.

2011 - Day 215
Cupid is very particular when it comes to
Selecting those two souls that will
Forever be connected through
The infinite invisible harp strings that
Create the magnificent strength of
The globally interpreted word from
The dawn of Life and again
Beyond the beginnings of time but
We still cannot truly grasp until
It burrows within us and yet
We cannot ever truly explain it
Only feel it,
Breathe it,
Know it,
Be it-
LOVE.

2011 - Day 214
So many oh so many
Oh so many more,
They climb the walls
They make tall stacks
From ceiling
To the floor,
They're everywhere
From here to there
They're knocking at your door,
You close your eyes
Yet they're in sight
They drill straight to your core,
Then finally
You fall asleep
And wake upon a shore,
You look around
And what is found
A million trillion more.

A cherry coke
A plate of cheese
A dash of peanut butter,
Exquisite dine
Upon the chime
The wooden bird's soft mutter.

2011 - Day 212
Pleasant waters float the sea,
A misty salted foam,
Underneath the calming breeze
A land where sharks do roam.
And for a week
Yes we shall hear
About their teeth,
How much they're feared,
We'll listen in
Until we're stuck,
The week goes by
We say 'Aww shucks'!
Back to the grind,
It never ends,
Must push the mind
Until it ends.

2011 - Day 210
A die with sides from Oh to Nine
Used in mystical conquest,
To break down doors
With magical swords
The most incredible contest.
With dragons a-blazing
Blue fires amazing
Determine the one who's the best,
Magnificent power
To rewind the hour
Determined that no one will rest.

2011 - Day 209
Yesterday,
A day behind the last,
Tomorrow,
Comes to us so fast,
Today,
We should make the most of it,
We should make a toast to it,
For today is now but only today,
When tomorrow comes it's now yesterday,
And today's then tomorrow but won't ever stay,
So for now let's just party the whole day away!

2011 - Day 208
We wave our flags
And cheer them on
For Victory
Now and beyond.
The battle cries
The fatal shrieks
The vultures fly
And fill their beaks.
What we can see
Not the whole story,
The big picture
More dark and gory.
A game to us
Not real life
So far away
We're cold as ice.
Yet still we cheer
And wave our flags
And roll our dice
Riches to rags.
And cheer them on
For Victory
Now and beyond.

2011 - Day 207
Gossip tunnels echo the words,
Itching adolescents and bored adults
Taking turns tying notes to birds,
Affecting growth patterns to a fault.
Haven't we taught you enough?
Oh no.
Haven't we fought through the rough?
So so.
Then listen to me
And you won't need to be
Someone I told you you're not.

2011 - Day 206
Situation
In the basement,
Spatial movements
From afar,
Education
Segregation,
Wish upon
The shooting star.
Innuendo
Plays Nintendo,
A canister of rat poison,
Fight the nonsense
Taste the thunder,
Cold land-caster never chosen,
Experimenting
Coordinating,
In the end we all agree,
Fight the feeling,
Shake the ceiling,
Don't be afraid
Turn up the heat.

2011 - Day 205
Inner frustration drips from my pores,
I close all the windows and slam all the doors,
When things don't go my way I burn up inside,
My thoughts enter crooked with no sense of pride,
I snap and I change and I split to another,
The Twins live within, both from the same mother,
Deranged, unintentional wild behavior,
I'm in my own head like Professor Xavier,
There's no telling what the outcome might be,
For a moment though I feel like I'll be set free,
And then the fog lifts and Twin One does return,
To face the cold fire that Twin Two has let burn,
Separately they live together,
One and the same, now and forever.

2011 - Day 204
A great big mess left in the hall,
We stand around and pout and stall,
"Not our fault" we tell the teacher,
It was that slippery slimy blue creature!
It came right in and made that mess,
Then it told us it would never confess,
In fact, It said, once the mess was clean,
It would sneak back in to make another crime scene!
Please! We say, but the teacher won't listen,
She says mean things that makes our saddened eyes glisten,
We clean up the mess and go straight to detention,
Leaves the blue creep to a mess-time extension.
When we do all our time and finally return,
We see just how far the blue creep can burn,
Globs of gloob fall from the sky,
Magical fires blind my eyes,
The school we love melts to the ground,
Not a single trace will ever be found.

2011 - Day 203
Two birds sat along a long telephone wire,
They sang the sad song of the Ruby Red Fire,
A massacre by the hand of Ms Nature,
Consumed by billows of smoky thick vapor,
The central location of migrated birds,
No chance to escape the dark flames quick surge,
It tore through the sunlight and lit up the night,
It tortured the innocent in gargantuan plight,
Created by hate it would never rescind,
Till all that remained was the ash in the wind.
Two birds sat along a long telephone wire,
Paid homage to those lost in the Ruby Red Fire.

2011 - Day 202
Barefoot wanderings,
Deep thought ponderings,
Down electric disco hallways
There's always a song to sing,
Slow to the beat
Rhythm shimmers softly,
Massage your brain
A magnetic coffee.
Step left, on the wall,
Walk upside down
Will never fall,
Narrower the corridor gets,
In thought so deep
Tend to forget,
A spiral, black, then light does shine,
Walk barefoot back
Don't leave a sign,
What's yours is yours
What's mine is mine,
Till dawn of the sands of time.

2011 - Day 201
Perfecting the art of creation,
Not quite the easiest task,
Intricate fibers weaved delicately
Made to capture the sunset at last.
Sneak out in the night try to hunt down the colors,
All hiding from the gleam of the moon,
Check under the bridges and over the ridges
You're close when you hear a faint tune.
The colors will guide you to the Valley of Madness
Where most people never return,
But if you can cross it and keep your composure
Creation is now yours to learn.

2011 - Day 200
One plus one plus one plus one
Times twenty five times two,
What was once a simple thought design
Now an essential concoction I brew.
Evolution is said to take ages,
Yet we evolve every time that we breathe,
Experience and grow and discover and learn
Together on Earth till we leave.
You face your fears
And I'll face mine,
Eyes full of tears
But higher we climb,
To conquer the mountain and look down below
Then there's no limit to the places we'll go,
Today was meant to be celebrated
When tomorrow does come we can scream out 'WE MADE IT!'
Continue this cycle from now to all time,
And I promise your future will turn out just fine.

2011 - Day 199
We start at the end
And end at the beginning,
Though never comprehend
In this race there's no winning,
A delicate mixture
Of randomness and fate,
Look at the big picture
Too soon, not too late.
Whatever might happen
There's always tomorrow,
You're the ship's Captain
Take control of Life's sorrows,
Steer the ship proper
And head for the light,
Never a show-stopper
Always put up a fight-
It's your Life, it's your Right.

2011 - Day 198
Once
There was
Three faint shadows
Strewn across a path,
Poisoned by the suns energy
Created not to last,
They slowly evaporate
Into the
Ground.
Together
In harmony,
A beautiful sound,
Until the fog rolls
Wanders the world once more.

2011 - Day 197
A slow motion statue peers across the ocean
Waiting for something that it doesn't know,
Hoping for a powerful potion,
One that can twist up time as it flows.
Reverse the roles of the world around us,
Let the statue be quick while the rest of us slow,
The statue could run as fast as a wind gust,
The slower we went means the faster it'd go.
Instead though no 'something' ever became,
Not through summers hot sun nor though winters cold snow.
The statue grew tired and rusty and green,
Then finally disappeared into the ocean below.
Waiting for something that it doesn't know,
Hoping for a powerful potion,
One that can twist up time as it flows.

2011 - Day 196
Maintain diligence
Stop only for the sunset
Life begins anew
Cling tightly to her
Sand between your fingertips
Forever searching
Routines come undone
Patterns evolve, light the way
You're free to decide
Stop only for the sunset
Life begins anew
Cling tightly to her
Sand between your fingertips
Forever searching
Routines come undone
Patterns evolve, light the way
You're free to decide
2011 - Day 195
Roll out the red carpet,
Delicate tip toes down the aisle,
Wishing and wanting to shine,
To shine,
Your heart races mile for mile.
The cocoons wait patiently within,
Till concerns outweigh inner bliss,
And reality sets in,
Sets in,
Shed tears for the freedom you'll miss.
Not for those with identity,
Chameleons and phantoms come forth,
Trapped in a bottle forever,
Forever,
To escape follow stars for the North.

2011 - Day 194
All I can see is
Blindness,
All I can hear is
Silence,
All I can feel is
Numbing,
All I can taste is
Nothing,
But that smell,
That smell from hell,
The smell one smells
When their soul they sell,
Throw your horcrux down the wishing well,
And as you fell
Though I could not tell,
The smell disappeared and all was well,
And then I sensed nothing at all.

2011 - Day 193
To touch your soul in a warm embrace,
I miss your laugh, your voice, your face.
The way you used to look at me,
So full of joy, so full of peace.
My Guardian Angel, by my side,
With you I never have to hide,
Face the world with confidence,
Please give to me good common sense,
Will tackle any obstacle,
Whether I run fast, or hobble slow.
All good things come to an end
So, for now, farewell my friend.
Remembrance not far away,
Forever in my heart you'll stay.
I miss your laugh, your voice, your face.

2011 - Day 192
A room with four walls,
No door to escape,
The walls all stark white,
A perfect cube shape.
You sit in the middle,
You try to remember,
When did you get here?
Was it June or December?
Memories blurry
Forget who you are,
You concede your demise
Your heart-fire charred.
They locked you away,
Forever and more,
The reason unknown,
No hope to implore.
Slowly start melting
Right into the ground,
No fire or pain,
In this room there's no sound.
Your body wax melting,
Nothing to be done,
Existence not cube shaped
So you start having fun.
You wiggle your fingers,
They melt off your hand,
Breathe stale air deeply
Lungs flow like quicksand.
Lie down on your back
Now one with the floor,
Evaporate quickly,
Leave only your core.
A bubbling mess
Is all that is left,
Till you open your eyes,
And to your surprise-
Clock reads six forty five,
A new day - time to rise.
No door to escape,
The walls all stark white,
A perfect cube shape.

Stare into the reflecting puddle,
Introduce yourself to him.
Of separate paths to destiny,
A race where only one can win.
Introduce yourself to him.
Of separate paths to destiny,
A race where only one can win.
2011 - Day 190
Stillness within
Our peaceful mind,
Heart a mellow fire,
Peppermint breeze
Through the old oak trees,
We climb higher and higher.
Waiting for the rising sun,
Warms our bones
The next one comes,
The cycle never tires.
Brings with it
The hope of man,
Continues to
Brighten the land,
The reason for tomorrow.

2011 - Day 189
To forgive is to release the pain
From your soul,
To see from another perspective
Other than your own,
Understanding,
While not agreeing or accepting,
Just understanding,
Expressing yourself through love,
As you might hope for forgiveness
From above,
To forgive is to hear an apology,
Know that it's wrapped in sincerity,
Anger feeds anger fuels the fire,
Extinguish the flames
Before only scars remain.

2011 - Day 188
Think about it-
Can't live without it.
Use your brain,
Inside your head,
Figure it out,
Hear what I said?
More like a game,
The answer so close,
Play 20 questions
Need seven at most.
Try to buy time,
Work those mind muscles,
Times running out fast
Discover the puzzle!
Clues all around you
Day to day scenes,
All over the ground,
Up high in the trees,
Is it birds and the bees?
Or air that we breathe?
Don't call it quits
You're just about there,
It happens right when
The world all shares,
And helps mend the tears,
To lend out a spare,
When everything's fair,
When everyone cares.
Just
Think about it.
Can't live without it.

2011 - Day 187
Hope floats upstream,
A constant current in the clouds,
More than what is seen,
Pushed to the brink of eternity,
Injected to diminish the doubts.
We rise above,
See further the light within all,
To find the Love,
Searching for all eternity,
No matter how hard we fall.
Protect your own,
Family, sunlight to our souls,
You've only one home,
An unbreakable bond for eternity,
Together we are whole.

2011 - Day 186
1.
Freedom-
Believe in it,
Aspire to,
He's always got
His eye on you.
Follow your heart,
You will be freed,
He watches both
Good and bad deeds.
You love your life,
Hold all that's dear,
He listens close,
Can always hear.
When the times comes,
You must decide,
Whether or not
You will survive
For he is they,
And they are us,
And we are you,
In God we trust.
2.
Freedom-
Believe in it,
Aspire to,
He's always got
His eye on you.
Follow your heart,
You will be freed,
He watches both
Good and bad deeds.
You love your life,
Hold all that's dear,
He listens close,
Can always hear.
When the times comes,
You must decide,
Whether or not
You will survive
For he is they,
And they are wrong
The world's theirs
We're just their pawns.
Freedom-
Believe in it,
Aspire to,
He's always got
His eye on you.
Follow your heart,
You will be freed,
He watches both
Good and bad deeds.
You love your life,
Hold all that's dear,
He listens close,
Can always hear.
When the times comes,
You must decide,
Whether or not
You will survive
For he is they,
And they are us,
And we are you,
In God we trust.

2011 - Day 185
Broken wings,
Repaired by the tears of time,
Solemnly rests in Darkness--
Have and fear it lost,
Have not and there is no 'mine',
Nothing more to find,
When the world becomes heartless.

Guide me to the Light
2011 - Day 183
Where the music flows gently,
Where no dance floor is empty,
Where the laughter echos off the moon-
There,
Shared on a warm summer's eve.
Where the women are flirty,
Where no man is dirty,
Where the love rows down the river-
There,
Shared on a warm summer's eve.
Where the hammocks have rhythm,
Where all eyes reflect prisms,
Where the senses experience life-
There,
Shared on a warm summer's eve.
Where the butterfly's flock to,
Where the white rabbits hop to,
Where nature connects us all-
Here,
All shared on a warm summer's eve.

2011 - Day 182
Art is particular
Selective in it's ways,
Seduce the masses quickly
Find the one who got away.
It grows inside us all
A flower on verge of blossom,
Nourish the creative seed
Go from 'good' to 'AWESOME'.
Try it once or a thousand times
Or tell yourself you don't care,
Or try it one hundred and eighty two times
And here we stand,
Halfway there.

2011 - Day 181
Dark side of the moon,
A land that's filled with shadows,
Where dreamers go explore,
Beyond the sleepy hallows.
Dig deep through alien earth,
Questions may be answered,
A key unlocks a door,
There stands the lonely dancer.
In this unlit room,
All shadows get to play,
The sun their only foe,
In this land the night is day.
Deeper still
There lies the truth
Where we began
Eternal youth
In the wrong hands
The secret's loose
So covered back up
The chamber of Zeus.

2011 - Day 180
Iron the last shirt you'll wear,
Shut out from the world large,
Face your enemy, feel his stare.
Grip the steel, hold nothing back,
Your country, your family, your honor,
If you don't, then he'll attack.
Strike first, aim for the heart,
No turning back from your destiny,
Finish what the others did start.
No end in sight, nowhere close,
You'll die alone, left to rot,
This is the life you chose.
Your last moments, with your friends,
Warriors, all, protecting all that's 'good',
Worth it all, in the end?

2011 - Day 179
The single kiss
That did me in
That took away my freedom,
It fogged my brain
From common sense
Replaced with a facade kingdom.
Chemicals
They rush around
A frantic pheromone frenzy,
A zombie of love
A one minded track,
I don't see what my friends see.
They try to shake me,
Try to break me
Free me from my false castle,
They anger me,
I tell them to leave
My life's better without their hassle.
And then one day
The endorphins cease
And I'm left with my hollowed out self,
To see the truth clear
After all of these years
I now desperately need lots of help.
That won't happen again
I tell myself now,
Feels like waking right up from a dream,
But then I glance at a girl
My heart grows as big as the world
I can't help it! - You know what I mean!!

2011 - Day 178
I find out kind of funny,
I find it kind of sad,
The world spins with chaos theory,
To think we all are mad.
Living out our expectations
Wishing hard upon a star,
Communal individualism
Yet can't go far
Without a car.
See the future
Make a choice
Change it if you can,
Or if you'd rather
Remain as is
Sidestep life's unknown plan.
Continue on down murky roads
Feel around you as you stumble,
Keep moving forward
Determination
Let life's lesson make you humble.

2011 - Day 177
The crisp clean air and clear blue skies
The world around us comes alive,
We bask in the sunlight and dance through the fields
Then rest in the shade where the leaves act like shields,
A peaceful excursion, remembrance past
The days once were young but grew up extra fast,
Now we all follow unique and uncharted paths,
Till they all cross once more
Together, once again, at last.

2011 - Day 176
Oak-like with a touch of plastic
Flavors in the barnyard,
Subtle hints of worm farm soil
To taste the flavors can be hard.
Close your eyes and open your nose
The aromas seep through your pores,
Tilt the glass back
Give in to the taste,
Barbeque chips, margarine and more.
From time to time
You come across
Salty asparagus pepper,
Or tractor hay with a hint of feet,
A multitude of flavor.
Some you'll enjoy
While others not so,
At the end you might have a favorite,
But really the point
Of the whole expedition
To create a memory to marinate.

2011 - Day 175
Sit, sit down on your spherical chair,
Contemplate existence
For a minute,
Discover life before you share,
Tell the world what you find
Within your mind,
The dawn of time
Parallels with
The end of man kind,
A simultaneous flash
A cosmic second,
Goes unnoticed in diamond eyes
As stars dance like fireflies,
The skies
Filled with infinity,
Infinity filled with lies,
Specks of truth float
Haphazard through solar flares
On lunar rivers kept alive,
The shadows unrelenting glare
Steals the good, creates the fear,
But listen from within yourself
The difference can be seen there.
Then breathe deep,
The truth flows out from where you sit,
Exists until you fall asleep.

2011 - Day 174
Just before the sun set
Below the blue horizon,
A rainbow awoke from a cloud
Cast down,
Its vibrant colors surprising.
I watched as it
Reached for the earth,
Calico fingers stretching
For the dirt,
To grasp hold of natures womb,
Its Life cut short
Without sun light
Disappears with the shine of the moon.
But on this eve
The rainbow thrived,
The moon appeared
Up in the sky,
Yet the colors stayed alive.
An omniscient glow
Vibrates uncontrollably,
Instead of a static pose
Bright colors swirled round
Echoing, I heard it sing
Soothing voices made of rose
An unrelenting beautiful sound
Until slowly,
Slowly,
It Disappeared into the ground,
The last night rainbow I ever found.

2011 - Day 173
Can you mourn them everyday,
The ones who traveled far away?
They once lived here,
But did not stay,
And why they left
They did not say.
Moved from this life to the next,
Changed my life in all aspects,
Fills my soul with much regret,
Now never know what to expect.
Learn to love the life you live,
Don't take a second for granted,
The connections you've made, your family and friends,
Their bright love makes your world enchanted.
Loved ones lost, neither there nor here,
Will always continue to hold them dear,
I can see them when I look in the mirror,
They make me strong, help me beat my fears-
This day, second longest of the year,
More sunlight to reflect my tears.

It's somebody's birthday,
Or so I've been told,
An amazing, sweet person
Her heart's made of gold.
She travels the world
Under the bright stars,
Across the huge Oceans,
There's no place too far!
Look into her eyes,
No malice or hate,
I speak from experience
This girl is just great!
So lucky I was
To meet someone like you,
Happy birthday Jenny Corcoran
I hope your wishes come true!

2011 - Day 171
Dawn of the languages,
Theory of man,
The greatest mystery
That exists in our land.
The Truth does exist,
Understandably so,
But the question remains,
Will we ever know?

2011 - Day 170
Infertile apple
Falls off the tree,
Hoping it's seeds grow and blossom,
Patiently waits
Autumn nights flicker by,
Drying up, on the verge of half-rotten.
Others have fallen
Burrow the ground,
Rich soil develops more fruit,
The sad apple watches,
Their gain to his losses,
Just wanted to join Life's pursuit-
To plug into nature
Connect with his roots,
Instead got the harshest of boots.
Leather faced, will die alone,
Never truly had a home.

2011 - Day 169
Welcome in the morning breeze,
So crisp and clean and fresh,
An early walk
You feel at peace,
Today you'll feel your best.
Do not waste
A drop of day,
Each second you grow older,
Instead face life
Head on and say-
An angel's on my shoulder,
I'll stay warm while she grows colder.

2011 - Day 168
What happens when the sun dips below,
When the sky flips around and the air turns cold?
The shadows arise
Dance to a rhythmic beat,
Like fog in a valley
Crawl through the land discrete,
Invisible tornadoes move through our towns and lawns,
The guardians of midnight
Until the break of dawn.

2011 - Day 167
Dreaming deeply, standing tall,
Beneath an emerald waterfall,
Magnifies the universe,
Old stars burn out, new stars rebirth,
Galaxies dance 'round, collide,
A spectacle hard to describe,
Our planet but a tiny dot,
An infinitely tiny spot,
A speck of sand, they all forgot,
The universe reaches to the edge of space-time,
You can access it all within your dream mind.

2011 - Day 166
Follow the path till you can't no more,
Then keep on movin' till your feet are sore,
Until you can't make it another millimeter,
That's where you'll find Mr.Magizeetereater.
He sits on his swirling purple singing chair,
That lifts him and flips him high up in the air,
He'll call down to you with his squeaky voice-
"To get up or to give in, you've got the choice!"
He'll laugh and he'll squeal and he'll reach up to the moon,
He'll tie a string to it and he'll make it a balloon,
He'll offer it to you but he'll have just one demand,
That you get up off the floor and you grab it with your hand.
He knows that you spent every ounce of your being,
Your body is spent, no use disagreeing,
Then he'll squawk and he'll chuckle and he'll reach down to you,
He'll say "Just touch my hand, I know you have it in you."
So you pull mega strength from the ground and the stars,
To hell with it all, you've traveled this far,
Reach up oh so slow, days go whistling by,
Till barely- just barely, feel his hand oh so dry.
What a glorious feat, you yell and you cry,
Your new moon on a string will fly oh so high,
You'll make it a shirt it can wear that's tie dye,
And you'll bring it to work and you'll give it cheese pie!
But instead of the promise from the weird grinning guy,
You wake up alone, oh what a mean lie!
And the road back to home is quite dark in your eyes,
Looks near impossible, small chance to get by,
You could ask all the how's or the what's or the why's
But instead you deep sigh and you hope you don't die,
'Cos no matter what happens, you may as well try.

Write down the words
That flow from your heart,
A flock of ghost birds,
Together they part
In Infinite art,
With hats made of foil,
It's called a Rhyme Royal.
Scottish Stanza To a Mouse,
Eating up your favorite blouse,
Making messes in your house,
Chase him 'round from here to there,
Trap him in the corner quick,
Teach him now that life's not fair.
Gather 'round to here the tale,
The zombie owls on Deadman's Trail,
To walk alone you face your fear,
Dead owls swoop down, bite all that's near,
The Limerick owls make skin turn pale.
Monorhyme it one more time,
Common sounds where they grow thyme,
Sand and camels raining lime,
Bernstein Bears committing crimes,
Ask the most prestigious mime,
Then it's Catdog's time to shine,
Finish first or ride the pine,
The fish use chalk to draw round lines,
Race the sun's infinite shine,
My hands are bound, I've lost my mind.

Do you remember
Middle school crushes,
Colored braces,
Riding yellow buses,
Building dirt jumps,
Backyard boxing punches,
Basketball camp and
A thousand sets of crunches,
Cards with the boys but
Saw no royal flushes,
Soap in the mouth while
That hypocrite cusses,
Sneaking out at night because
She was so luscious,
Making big mistakes yet
Discovering what US is,
Free to be yourself-
Naivety, 'nuff said.

2011 - Day 163
Eyes crusted over,
Arise from the shadows,
Search through the cobwebs
Grasp for a handle,
Spots form in memory
Give way to lighted paths,
Follow through the tunnels
To make it home at last.
Flowing gold elixir,
Music in the air,
Crowd of thirsty friendly dwarfs
With ribbon in their hair.
Dizzy spinning doppelganger
One foot and then another,
As the world fades to back
Run from one then to the other.
Distant fires
Burning tires
Find the buyers
They're all liars.

Confused,
Torn apart,
Abused,

Misused,
Shameful,
Obtuse,

Lies
No truth,
Painful
They lose.

2011 - Day 161
Light reflects off the surface of the Earth,
Amplified by the serene sounds of nature,
Wave lengths of light and sound in harmony,
A dance to which we perceive,
Senses taken for granted,
Those without them envy,
But to then have,
Is to soon forget,
Comfortable ways,
Join us,
Forever,
Too little,
Too late.
Life
On
Re-
Peat.

2011 - Day 160
Utterly eternal,
Dancing 'round fires
That shouldn't be seen,
A house made of mirrors
Lies a sleeping Queen,
Fragile,
Agile,
Quick-witted Guardian,
Circles the obstacles
Destruction rewards the man,
His plan albeit
The heart of the dame,
Conquer the witness
For fortune and fame.
He might think it is,
But it's not a game,
Lessons are learned though
One and the same.

For fortune and fame.
He might think it is,
But it's not a game,
Lessons are learned though
One and the same.

2011 - Day 159
A train on the horizon,
Heading towards the sun,
Rolling down the rusty tracks
It moves to the beat of a drum.
This particular train is curious,
It's cargo worth more than gold,
Destinations patiently wait
For objects that no one can hold.
Lies were told to the buyers,
They'll know it too soon I'm afraid,
As soon as the train passes through
No more human lives will be made.
Workers work hard to lay tracks,
Succumbed to the will of the train,
Prisoners of war, their minds wiped clean
Every city new victims to claim.
Eventually the world
Will wait for the train to arrive,
For with it now brings life force-
The innermost will to survive.
Until the train grows tired,
Slumbers in caves down below,
We will do all of it's bidding
It's 'motives' quite frankly 'Loco'.

2011 - Day 158
Sitting in the waiting room
Waiting for the news to come,
Listen to the rain fall sideways
Listen to the heater's hum.
Pacing up and down the hall,
You think hard, try to recall,
What happened on this fateful night
Will your friend move towards the light?
Or will he fight with all his might?
Try and calm your heartbeat down
Tell yourself he'll be OK,
No major organs crushed within,
The cuts and scrapes will go away.
The sounds you heard were not cracked bones,
There was no blood smeared on the ground,
The cries were howling of the wind
Your memories go round and round.
The Doc walks to the waiting room,
You ask him "Doc, is he OK?"
Walks right by you to your best friend,
The world begins to fade away.
He tells your friend "I'm sorry son,
Your friend, he didn't make it,
But all lives do come to an end,
Eventually we'll all face it."
One last breath
To breathe, no more,
What do the Heavens
Have in store,
Is there more
Or an empty door?
Faith is all we can ask for.

2011 - Day 157
Planes,
Passing by,
My eyes,
Up towards the sky,
Caves,
Deep in the core,
My mind,
Under the floor,
Walking tight ropes
Not much to hope,
Find the medium.
Center of balance,
Release from it all,
No longer malice-
Just Light
And you.

2011 - Day 156
A meadow, soft, and rolling hills,
Families come to take their stills,
Photos lasting longer than
The letter written with the pen,
And that is exactly what kills me.
A useful tool outside our heads,
We mix them up with blues and reds,
Until memory becomes a dream
Until the water turns to steam,
Forgotten thought, our tears are shed.
Capture time and space itself,
A piece of soul is taken out,
To what extent, God only knows
But just like wine the future flows,
Drink up or store it on the shelf-
This is what defines you.

2011 - Day 155
Show the world what you can be,
Make It understand you,
Magic at high velocity,
Unhindered movement, you choose to.
When all is right, our Universe,
The fates they can't deceive us,
Reminded of why and who you are,
The elements use a fine paint brush.
So who waits for us
The end of the road,
Old friends standing there,
A brilliant white wall
Standing 90 feet tall
To remind us of why we care.
Troubled eyes
Do mesmerize
Tell us of your guilt,
Have none you say?
So that's how you play,
Fallen leaves do rot and wilt.
Make It understand you,
Magic at high velocity,
Unhindered movement, you choose to.

2011 - Day 154
Catch me in the act
A tremendous flurry,
Hatchback double parked
Get too close
Sometimes blurry,
Outstanding fundamentals
In an ocean
Hot red curry,
The dreaded pirates
Pass the scurvy,
Quite groovy,
Or just enough,
When chaos dances smoothly.
Who drove me,
From here to there
The between parts pass right through me,
Only positive movies
Can maybe soothe me,
The large boat
They missed the buoy,
Now it's too late,
Straight
To the depths
Far to great,
Latch to my soul
My soul mate
Captivate
Or disseminate.
No matter where your crew be,
Find the true breeze.

The dawn of twenty-four,
Swinging pendulum
Drones out the night,
Lights the day.
The honorary guest
A Show called Life,
Showing each other that we can count,
Fingers and Toes,
Audience applause
Until next show.
Pseudo-electric jolt
Natures Eternal Alarm Clock,
Created,
Five cents a card.
Still,
We are here
Together,
So
Reason to celebrate-
Cheers!

2011 - Day 152
The tops spins and we watch it,
Waiting for the answer,
Will we end up happy and blessed
Or will It end with cancer?
Can't wait all life in spinning
Chaos rules supreme,
Instead take life head on
Swing from the high beam.
Those who see the top topple
Might know how It all plays out,
But instead of life's adventures,
A life filled with sauerkraut.
Live
Live
Live,
Because,
Life Is Beautiful.

2011 - Day 151
Poor old dog wanders
Blind as a bat,
Fur falling off slowly
Chased by alley cats.
Nowhere to go
No man to love,
Legs wobble softly
Birds watch from above.
Memory short,
Stomach so tiny,
Withering sickness
But nobody's crying.
His old owner paused
For a second no less,
Before moving on
The next puppy so fresh.
We live forever
Or so it may seem,
Do dogs go to Heaven?
In stars they do gleam.

2011 - Day 150
Put some pep
In your step,
Throw some charcoal
On the grill,
Rub some lotion
On your shoulders
Enjoy your time
It's yours to kill.
Every now and then
Extended weekend
In our grasp,
Friends and sun and family,
Summer
Time elapse.

2011 - Day 149
He travels round the world,
By Ocean and by plane,
Every inch there is to see
Connection is his game.
He carries round a notebook,
Each page filled with small squares,
Each square contains a unique smell
Landmarks and Scents he pairs.
So smelling the smell of a doughnut,
Might bring up visions of France,
Or a deep hearty whiff of strawberry
Brings Spain where he had a romance.
Smell and View matched side by side
Next vacation won't step outside
Instead will sit and watch the tide
And read with his nose
The world wide.

2011 - Day 148
Put a shell up to your ear,
What kinds of whispers do you hear?
The mellow splashes of some waves,
Or bouncing echos in a cave?
A beating heart,
Sizzling steak,
An old dog's bark,
Leaves under rake?
Rustled papers
White hot vapors
Loud mouthed neighbors
Tasty flavors?
All of the above and more
Coming from within your core,
Listening and waiting for
What the world has in store.

My first moment
She was there
Has never left my side,
She saw me through
Terrible two's
And new school when I turned five.
And then when I
Wanted to run
For President of my school,
Gave me confidence
So when I lost
The next semester I did rule.
She's been there for me
My experiences
All the hard times that I've faced,
From the breakups and stress
To poor choices and deaths
An Angel from Heaven she's based.
When times were quite tough
She never let up
Instead gave us lives filled with joy,
Worked hard everyday
Took all that she made
To spoil her two awesome boys.
At the same time we learned
That life could play rough
So appreciate family and friends,
To live every moment
In positive light
To say sorry and to make amends.
Whenever down
She picks me up
Positive reinforcement,
How lucky I am
To be blessed with a Mom
Who believes love is most important.
So Happy Birthday
To my Mom
The reason I am who I am,
Nobody can mean
What she does to me
The teacher that taught me 'I CAN'.
Love you Mom!

Blank piece of digital parchment,
Collecting electric dust,
Waiting for the hands to type
Before it wears and rusts.
Words were never written,
Dust covers the Earth,
Only in capsules that float in deep space
Awaiting another rebirth.

2011 - Day 145
A fountain spilling chocolate
Down into a pond,
The fish and frogs inhale it
Till the night is dawn.
These creatures bloat and die from it
They wash up on the shore,
Bambi and Thumper eat their skins
Black goo drips to the floor.
The ants and furry rodents
Gather up this treat,
Bring it to their champions
The topping for the feast.
From their nests and burrows
They hear the death machine,
Man comes in and tears shit down
Killing all that's green.
They spot a bit of chocolate goop
And gather up a sample,
Manufacture it in labs
And now I have a handful.
Crusty rotten old pathetic
Days forgotten past,
Sidestep since it's better than none
How long will this last?

Till the night is dawn.

2011 - Day 144
Attached tight to an object
Reliant overwhelmed,
A bittersweet aroma
Absence can be felt.
Trapped below the surface
Vision quite obscured,
The predators swim near me
But nothing can be heard.
A light shines bright before me
i run fast as I can go,
So close that i can taste it
I feel its radiant glow.
I grab it with both hands
Prepare to jack back in,
But changes into sand
Blows away in the wind.

2011 - Day 143
Agonizing injury
Back of splintered wood,
Chains rust through the ankle
Never given food.
How much can one take
Before they give away,
The deepest darkest secrets
Ones that break the day?
Do it for your family
Tell them what you know,
Or remove the gilded lingua
Can speak to them no more.
Live for others,
Play your role,
Die for others
Expensive toll.
Bear the pain,
Meditation,
Fare the blame,
For your nation.

2011 - Day 142
A thousand broken pieces
Bouncing on the ground,
Shining all around me
The silence of the sound.
From the world in my pocket
To exile in a cave,
The world doesn't miss me
I'll take what I can save.
Sleepless in Diego
Mind plugged up with gauze,
Wandering to nowhere,
Lost within the fog.
So long,
For now.

2011 - Day 141
The laziest sloth in the tree
Swinging incredibly slow,
His family watches in wonder
The ground looks so far down below.
He stops in midair for a second
Watch the sun move in the sky,
Time doesn't sync with this family
All around them the time flies by.
One minute more
The moon shines a cresent,
Reach the next tree
Discover the present-
The present
Is the moment
That you thought it.

2011 - Day 140
Preparing in advance,
Rolling through the fog,
Tirelessly plotting course
While sleeping like a log.
Sometimes things are better
Made with pickled cheese,
Must step out of comfort zones
To feel Life's gentle breeze.
Sometimes the wind picks up,
Throwing things about,
Convulsion chaos burning chain
Feel stuck and can't get out.
Let the storm pass on,
Clean the mess that's left,
Ready for whatevers next
Life's game can be quite deft.

2011 - Day 139
A likeness undefined,
Pinpoint salutation,
Credible source of happiness
High walls around our nation.
Abandoned right at birth,
Centuries of dust,
Continue to build and cover our tracks
No chemicals cut through the rust.
Traces of the past
Hiding under rocks,
Why did our instincts push out the good
Now made up of Legos and blocks.
Build a space machine,
Travel back in time,
Rediscover what's already found
But do not replay our crime.

Life isn't about
[Enter paragraph],
Rather,
The matter
Of paint and math,
Of art and science,
Of connectivity--
Especially nestled
Between the cesspool,
That which is
The essence of us anyways.
Go find the string,
Follow the stream,
In conscious dream,
Record what's seen
You'll know what I mean,
But don't fall in-between--
Because that one,
That story,
Is a tale of its own.

In a strange way,
I know I know you
From around the way,
Makin your business
What aint yours,
There's no forgiveness
Light the torch.
Breathe it in
The kerosine,
Damper the vein
Your humility,
It's understood
By all save you,
Not in these parts
Can wolves pass through.
Alas
Another sick beast
Watched by careful eye,
Tonight
We'll have a great feast
The torched remains quite nice,
There.
A Sound from the East--
Without a word
We slip back into
The Night.

I awake and open my eyes,
But darkness all around,
Blink twice
Then
Pull the shades,
Reveals a world
Of shadows,
My new home.
In it,
I feel alone
Chilled to the bone
Can't find my phone,
But found
My keys.
Onward,
Seven above
Patiently waits.

2011 - Day 135
A million strong
We roamed around
The path of liberation,
The places we saw
The people we met
Then back to hibernation.
Atmosphere great
The weather pristine
The party keeps going and going,
The yellow brick road
Though no cobblestones
Continued to keep the drinks flowing.
Then off to the Clay
We called it a day
Time for food and relaxation,
Experienced much
The day packed a punch
The best City in our great Nation.

2011 - Day 134
Inside the inside
Around the town
Exclusive patches of grass,
Canals and trenches
Barbed wire fences
There's no possible way past.
Excavation
Digging remains
Creatures unlike any we've seen,
Preservation
Bound in thick chains
Skin scaled and ancient and green.
What have we done
Unlocking the past
Awakening madness within,
Mind control powers
Breath hot thick and sour
The rest of our lives will be grim,
Shoulda,
Shoulda left it alone
And let it be.

2011 - Day 133
Trains race across the desert
The new world awaits,
Sounds of fortunes
And waves.
They bring with them
The minds of the future,
Utopia
Three hundred sixty degrees.
Now we sit,
Waiting for the next frontier,
Calling from darkness,
Whispering madness and color,
Contours of invisible mass,
And perhaps,
Perhaps,
Life-
The future of the future.

Stone cold statue
Standing there
Thinking oh so hard
How nice it'd be
To run with glee
To play a game of cards.
He'd go play sports
He'd laugh and sing
Not taking life for granted,
Every moment
Creating life
Oh the plants that he'd of planted!
He'd kiss a girl
And hold her close
Vow never to let go,
He'd get a dog
He'd call it Bob
Teach it to shovel snow.
Never sad
He'd give give give
He'd help out all the needy,
So joyful that
Would wear a hat
Reads 'World, destroy the greedy'.
But, instead,
He stands there sad
Cannot move an inch,
And over time
Stone heart grew small
Until it matched the Grinch.
Standing there
Thinking oh so hard
How nice it'd be
To run with glee
To play a game of cards.
He'd go play sports
He'd laugh and sing
Not taking life for granted,
Every moment
Creating life
Oh the plants that he'd of planted!
He'd kiss a girl
And hold her close
Vow never to let go,
He'd get a dog
He'd call it Bob
Teach it to shovel snow.
Never sad
He'd give give give
He'd help out all the needy,
So joyful that
Would wear a hat
Reads 'World, destroy the greedy'.
But, instead,
He stands there sad

2011 - Day 131
Climb that mountain
To the top
To reach the summit high,
And now you stand
Above the Earth
Can watch as time flies by.
Two dice are rolled
Both made of stone
Determining all fate,
Each toss decides
Who lives who dies
And who will become great.
The cave is dark
So cold up here
But all depends on you,
To go inside
To stay alive
And steal the Fate's die too.
You see them there
Each roll brings pain
To some unhappy fool,
Your quickly run
You shoot your gun
And kill each ghastly ghoul.
Now die in hand
About to leave
You get the urge to sit,
You roll the die
And now you're stuck
New Fate for infinite.

2011 - Day 130
To the finish
From the start
So close behind
So far apart,
Interweaving
Through the bend
To beat the light
To make amends,
Crowd is cheering
Distant strip
No slowing down
Must crack the whip,
Lightening thunder
Up above
So close at hand
Need just one shove,
Blurry vision
Melted wax
The end has covered
Up its tracks.
Darkness melts slowly
All around
I once was found
But now I'm lost.

2011 - Day 129
A crease in space
Results in unwanted
Magazines,
Distracting the rubber ball
While It's followers
Dance in unison.
Too many eyes
Watching from the shadows,
Watching the shadows,
Torn and indifferent
Truth is key.
A fire burns in the back
Controlled,
Beautiful,
Bringing together he
And they
And she
Unforgettable
Until you forget.

2011 - Day 128
One way mirror
I watch you sleep
And when you brush your teeth,
When reciting your speeches
And eating those peaches
And when you pretend to preach.
You stare hard
Into your soul
Determined to figure it out
Don't get why you feel small
Or why a trees leaves fall
You continue to take the same route.
Now boring and old
I tire of your suffer
Jump right through the mirror
And I eat you for supper,
Time to wait for new tenants
I have all the time
I drift back to slumber
The world is mine.

2011 - Day 127
Another look into the globe
It shows me right where I stand,
Only at very particular times
Do I make it to Candy Land.
The gumdrop forest
And colorful path
The unlimited keggers of beer,
The people are wonderful
The sun comes undone for all
The world is much better here.
This month I get to go twice
That's double the deuce on the die,
Make sure that I live it up big
It's the dream -
American Pie.

2011 - Day 126
A thousand hands
Crawl out of my heart,
Sticky flakes of life
Cling to their palms,
Unwavering,
Determined to succeed.
My open cavity
Loss of red soul water
Refilled with red grape water
Sealed with toothpaste
Until they return,
Bringing with them
Infinite happiness.

2011 - Day 125
El cinco de mayo
Y toda la casa,
Copas y risas
Qué grandes amigos que tiene.
Aunque extraño estaba presente
La batalla fue ganada,
Bailé mi manera
Para la luna y volver.
Celebramos un día
Significa poco, en esencia,
Para otros, sin embargo,
Avances fundamentales.
Para nosotros es un tiempo
Recoger y vítores
Y nunca olvidar
Por el resto de nuestros años.

2011 - Day 124
A Lion in Sheep's clothing
Escape the monarchy,
Believe that life is better
The realm of anarchy.
Maintain a deceptive skin
See what really exists,
Simplicity for security
To give in or to resist.
The coppery taste of wealth
Can't ever leave us in peace,
To touch it once is to never forget
Better off to say no to the feast.
That is, unless the goal is to stay,
To pave your own road and make your own way,
To write your own story and set your own pay,
To accumulate wealth and live right on the bay,
To run the whole world
They'll do what you say-
In this case,
Remember where you came from.

2011 - Day 123
Take what you need
You'll never change my spirit
Just try not to worry
Cos life's on the spin cycle.
Forget what they told you
Reality is seen all around
Make your own thoughts count
Otherwise,
What are you?
Freedom of speech
Freedom of opinion
Until stripped of free thought
Express yourself
Or be another cog in the machine.
What machine, right?
You'll find out soon enough,
I can't ease your pain
Is there anybody in there?
Only you
Your lips move
But no words can be heard.
Please
Please,
Never become
Comfortably Numb.
You'll never change my spirit
Just try not to worry
Cos life's on the spin cycle.

2011 - Day 122
Ding dong the witch is dead,
Which old witch?
That Muslim Bitch.
Planned for months
A stealthy ploy,
The Navy SEALS,
Exquisite joy,
To end his days
We get our wish,
And now he lays
Down with the Fish,
But if radiation
Mutates a shark,
And his DNA
Finds a place to park (upon the shark),
We'll be in grave danger
Our horizon's must broaden,
Brace for the terrifying reign of
Osama FIN Laden!

2011 - Day 121
To wake to the sun
Rising Eastbound,
Shining over the Pavilion
Golden dreams immaculate.
Bending of wills,
Gritty, drawn out, scripted havok,
A masterpiece
The troupe our very own.
Matching costumes,
The snow slowly falls,
Thunder bellows 360 degrees,
Our eyes never leave the stage.
At the end,
Roses strewn with standing ovation,
And take a bow,
You deserve it.
Bravo.

2011 - Day 120
Move locations one by one
Near me to towards the ocean,
Mix it up and live it large
Go tan but wear much lotion.
To move but once a year is tough
I hate the entire process,
But to do it every day for pay
I'd rather work in an office.
I feel the feeling walking by
The mood is energetic,
Mysterious though it seems to me
Nobody's explicitly said it.
My boat is parked in the very same harbor
Where the gold is stowed,
I need take it out for a spin
Before I'm turned to a toad.
