I wake up this morning
I lie there in bed,
Remember the evening
A large smile spreads.

A crisp Christmas dawn
The sun slowly rises,
Her glow is amazing-
Life's full of surprises.

This Christmas I asked
For nothing at all,
Instead I was given
The best gift of all.

The Christmas eve party
Way too much fun,
Then ended the night
With THE thirty one,

This one is special
I can already tell,
Life shimmers before me
I'm under a spell.

The day just beginning
A skip in my step,
Ready for anything
Including a nap!
